How to Schedule
We typically schedule sessions Monday - Thursday since we’re at weddings on the weekend. Once find a date that works for your schedule and ours and put that on the calendar and pay attention to the weather leading up to that day. We prefer the best lighting and that is normally 75 - 90 minutes before sunset. The session lasts about 60 - 90 minutes and we’ll spend around 30 minutes taking photos before changing into a 2nd outfit (this is optional) to finish the session. Having the session later in the day makes it easier if you work during the day so we can meet after your work day is over.
What to expect
The session overall is very laid back and casual. We will tell you what to do, where to stand, where to look, etc. so you don't have to worry about that at all. You just show up looking and feeling good!
But definitely let us know know if you have any preferences or poses you'd like as well. If you want to send a few example images of things you like that’s great too. We want these photos to represent you guys as a couple and if you have Inspiration then we’d love to see that.
What to wear
The most important thing about your clothing is that you look and FEEL good.
If you’re doing two outfits then a good idea is to start with something more dressy for first part of the session and then change into something more casual for the 2nd half of the session. The location might dictate which outfit you choose so keep that it mind. Also you can do two casual outfits or two dressier outfits as it’s entirely up to you on the vibe you’re going for.
In general you might want to go with clothing that don't have super busy patterns. Solids are great. Blacks are good too. You might want avoid white tops or bottoms as those could be too bright in the photos but it’s okay to wear those if that’s your style.
What if its supposed to rain?
Once we finalize a date and location then we’ll watch the weather and check-in the day before to confirm everything is good and there is no rain or terrible weather.
If the weather is bad we’ll just reschedule for another day that works for everyone. If you are having hair and makeup done for the session then you’ll want to confirm the cancellation or rescheduling policy as that may affect how far in advance that we should make the call to reschedule.
Overall we try to be flexible as possible given weather in Tennessee can be unpredictable.
