I met the most care-free bride ever when I photographed the Higgins wedding. To have your wedding day cloudy, cold and wet could have ruined the mood of many brides. Yet Anna's spirits and outlook were unaffected.
She went with the flow. She ditched the shoes that she picked out months ago. She got mud all over her dress. She used an umbrella most of the day and wore a fur coat that wasn't intended to match her outfit. She went with the flow.
All of this didn't matter cause she was marrying her best friend, Ben. She cried many times before the ceremony that day, but not because of the weather. She cried when she had time to reflect on how happy she was to be marrying that man. I also encouraged tears as those make for great photographs.
Despite the circumstances, Anna's day was perfect.
